Adam Balcerek (alias: Adam Black), was born in Poland, studied and graduated architecture in Germany.

However, it was in Paris, where he moved in 2006, that he took his first steps in professional photography.
In the early phases, he was assisting such legends as Patrick Demarchelier, Craig McDean, Patrick Shaw, Solve Sundsbo, or Sarah Moon, which gave him the opportunity to perfect his skills alongside the best in the world.
Soon after, he started to work independently, undertaking various photography projects ever since

 

For last 8 years Adam lived in Dubai, where he thrived in advertising, lifestyle, and sport photography. His work has taken him all over the world, shooting international campaigns
in Europe, including Spain, France, UK, or Poland; in Africa (including Morocco, Nigeria, Kenya, or Uganda); Middle East, and Asia (including China, Sri Lanka, or the Philippines).

 

Adam's impressive portfolio boasts work for globally recognised brands such as Adidas, McDonald's, Snickers, Wella, KFC, Samsung, Colgate, Nestle, Heinz, HSBC, Garnier, GAP, Nivea, Cartier, Mastercard, Toyota, and Oriflame,
as well as brands from the GCC region, such as Dubai Tourism, Ski Dubai, Adnoc, Oppo, Dubai Mall, Puck, Expo2020, Noon, Lifebuoy, Marhaba, Dubai Food Festival, DSS, and DFC.
His work has also been published in many renowned magazines, including Harper's Bazaar, L'Officiel, WAD, Glamour, Schoen, or Vogue.

 

Adam's passion for photography extends beyond commercial work. He enjoys working on charity projects, and his most recognisable contribution is Photography for Nairobi in Kenya.
Adam's work has gained international recognition, earning him numerous prestigious awards.
His photographs have also been showcased in numerous exhibitions in Paris, London, Warsaw, and Buenos Aires.

 

Three years in a row, he was selected as one of the best 200 advertising photographers worldwide, by the prestigious Lürzer's Archive.
He was also a member of the jury in the National Geographic Photo Contest or been involved in television shows such as Top Model and Fashion TV's Photographer’s series.

 

He's expertise lies in the attention to detail when piecing together the various elements of an image. He is a master at setting up incredible lighting, ensuring perfection in every shot.
However, his true talent lies in capturing the genuine expressions of his cast, resulting in authentic photographs and that's what he’s best known for.
